Option 1 : Going for a Masters of Science degree

1. Being in the same country helps in melding with the environment
2. Cheaper
3. Family and Friends are available when needed
4. Quality education
5. Appropriate weather conditions
Cons:
1. Entry is very difficult to a good institute even if one has good marks
2. Tough competition
3. More theoretical studies than practical exposure
4. Gender, Religion, Caste may come into play
5. Not sufficient exposure to students - Taking a masters degree overseas:
Pros:
1. International Exposure
2. Independent living experience
3. More emphasis on practical knowledge than theory
4. A foreign degree pays well in India ( Believe it or not :P )
5. Lesser competition
Cons:
1. Expensive
2. Away from friends and family
3. Not very suitable living conditions
4. Hassle of VISA approval and work permit

Taking a post-graduate MBA degree is another option which many students consider. a Masters in Business Administration degree is a good course to opt for as it gives exposure to commerce field and thus enriches the student with knowledge from both the fields i.e. the science as well as the commerce field.

Option 3: Looking for a Job
After a graduation many people appeal to go directly for a job. The excitement of beginning an Independent life thrusts them towards it.

- Income generating option
- Independent living
- Helping parents with money
- Earning for oneself for further studies
Cons:
- Today's economy encourages higher education
- Lesser paying jobs
- Lower post of working
- Hard work needed for upraises
Option 4: Job with online or long distance post-graduate programs
Another inviting option is to do a job along with an online or a long distance course. This is best for students who want to go for higher education and don't have sufficient money for the same.
Pros:
- Earn and study together
- Higher education
- Helping parents with money
Cons:
- Online and long distance courses are not given much importance
- Missing necessary exposure
- Hectic life schedule for handling both job and studies
- Requires a lot of hard work
These are all the options that one may consider before taking any decision regarding their after graduation life. None of the above option is perfect for all the students. Every student has to make an independent decision regarding their own life by keeping in mind where he wants to see himself and what resources he can use.
