Confused what to do after Engineering Graduation? Here are few options you may consider

What should i do after my engineering graduation? Should i go for MBA or MS, or rather should i directly look for a job? All engineering students at some point of time have this thought in their mind. So do we! So we came out with a set of options that one may consider for choosing the path ahead of an engineering graduation.
Option 1 : Going for a Masters of Science degree

Today's economy doesn't really encourages students to have just an undergraduate degree, so the option that opens up is taking a masters degree in the same field as that of engineering. there are pro's and con's of every option that is to be considered. Don't worry we are lining them up for you :P
But first we will divide this option in two further sections :
  1. Taking a masters degree in India:

    Pros:
    1. Being in the same country helps in melding with the environment
    2. Cheaper
    3. Family and Friends are available when needed
    4. Quality education
    5. Appropriate weather conditions

    Cons:
    1. Entry is very difficult to a good institute even if one has good marks
    2. Tough competition
    3. More theoretical studies than practical exposure
    4. Gender, Religion, Caste may come into play
    5. Not sufficient exposure to students
  2. Taking a masters degree overseas:

    Pros:
    1. International Exposure
    2. Independent living experience
    3. More emphasis on practical knowledge than theory
    4. A foreign degree pays well in India ( Believe it or not :P )
    5. Lesser competition

    Cons:
    1. Expensive
    2. Away from friends and family
    3. Not very suitable living conditions
    4. Hassle of VISA approval and work permit
    5. Expensive living
Option 2: Going for a MBA degree
Taking a post-graduate MBA degree is another option which many students consider. a Masters in Business Administration degree is a good course to opt for as it gives exposure to commerce field and thus enriches the student with knowledge from both the fields i.e. the science as well as the commerce field.
Pros:
  1. Knowledge of two fields ( Science and Commerce )
  2. More job opportunities
  3. Enables you to start your own business
  4. Managerial skills
  5. Helps in personality development and betterment
Cons:
  1. Expensive
  2. A good university is a must
  3. Not a guarantee for success
Option 3: Looking for a Job
After a graduation many people appeal to go directly for a job. The excitement of beginning an Independent life thrusts them towards it.
Pros:
  1. Income generating option
  2. Independent living
  3. Helping parents with money
  4. Earning for oneself for further studies
Cons:
  1. Today's economy encourages higher education
  2. Lesser paying jobs
  3. Lower post of working
  4. Hard work needed for upraises
Option 4: Job with online or long distance post-graduate programs
Another inviting option is to do a job along with an online or a long distance course. This is best for students who want to go for higher education and don't have sufficient money for the same.
Pros:
  1. Earn and study together
  2. Higher education
  3. Helping parents with money
Cons:
  1. Online and long distance courses are not given much importance
  2. Missing necessary exposure
  3. Hectic life schedule for handling both job and studies
  4. Requires a lot of hard work

These are all the options that one may consider before taking any decision regarding their after graduation life. None of the above option is perfect for all the students. Every student has to make an independent decision regarding their own life by keeping in mind where he wants to see himself and what resources he can use.

Mechanical engineering projects list

WIND MILL: The Actual wind mill model that produce electrical energy from wind and charge the battery to run inverter directly.

SOLAR SUN SEEKER: - It actually track the sun as per its position and move the solar cell/water heating plates accordingly so as to get maximum power from sun light.

THERMAL POWER PLANT USING STEAM: Steam energy is alternatively used to generate electrical energy. A traditional arrangement commonly used by any thermal plant but still very useful to display as teaching aid.

HYDEL POWER DAM: A Device SETUP that generate electrical energy from running water. The model comprises a pump, a water reservoir, an alternator to gen. electrical energy.

ELECTRICAL ENERGY FROM AMUSEMENT PARK RIDES (SEA-SAW, SWING, SLIDE, ROLLER ETC.) : The different amusement rides can be designed to generate electrical enegy while children are using actually the park.

ELECTRICAL ENERGY FROM SPEED BREAKER: This can be designed to
generate electrical energy when vehicles cross the breaker and roll the roller based speed breakers connected with an alternator.

PADDLE CONTROLLED MOBILE CHARGER CUM EMERGENCY LIGHT: - It
works as we do cycling for exercise. Besides charging Mobile battery, it burns the extra calories too. Further it can modified to churn any thing.

HYBRID CHIMNEY : The dual natural energy sources say Wind and Sun energy is used to generate electrical energy. A good alternate source of energy for areas like deserts or barren land, where sun light is available but low speed of wind flow is there.

SOLAR POWERED REFREGERATOR: Compressor less refrigerator to provide 12¬15 degree temperature while cooling and is also used to heat if required with the same Thermo-EMF peltier junction based system works on 12V battery to be charged with Solar Cells/ Panel.

ELECTRICAL ENERGY FROM COMPRESSED AIR- This 'AIR GENERATOR' generate electrical energy from the air stored in a storage chamber using suitable air compressor.
ELECTRICITY FROM D.J. DANCE FLOOR: An alternate source or energy can be
generated by the modified dance floor using pressure sensor based electricity generators.

WIND BELT: Another alternate energy generation to charge battery by low power wind, say simple fan etc. A moving belt vibrate when wind strike it from any side. The magnets on both ends make the generation of electrical energy .
